Lures attract striped and spotted cucumber beetles! Ideal for DIY traps!
Cucumber Beetles are a formidable pest wherever cucumber, watermelon, pumpkin, cantaloupe, squash and other cucurbits are grown. Beetles can kill or severely stunt seedlings, and damage stems and fruits on mature plants. Larvae will feed on roots when possible. Cucumber beetles are well known for transmitting bacterial wilt, gummy stem blight, and some viruses.
Lures will attract various types of cucumber beetles:
- Striped cucumber beetle (Acalymma vittatum)
- Western striped cucumber beetle (Acalymma trivittatum)
- Spotted cucumber beetle (Diabrotica undecimpunctata howardi)
- Western spotted cucumber beetle (Diabrotica undecimpunctata)
Cucumber Beetle Frequently Asked Questions
Use with wet-glue traps only such as VivaTrap XL, dry glue is not strong enough to restrain cucumber beetles. Traps not included.

Best way to get these lures if you need quantity

Money saver
If you are willing to make your own traps you can save a lot of money this way. The lures are the same as the smaller pack of just one. We make water traps which can be looked up on google if anyone reads this. Very easy and inexpensive. But you must have an attractant like these to make it function.

They did it!
We have been asking for just Cucumber Beetle lures for a few seasons after trying the Cucumber Beetle traps that Agbio and Vivagrow sell. We use our own yellow sticky tape so we don't really need the whole trap setup just the lures. This is just what we wanted! Also much cheaper especially in quantity. If you email they will make you a custom quote for whatever you want to order.

Use with water traps
We don't utilize sticky traps for a few reasons, we prefer water traps when they can be used. These lures are exactly what we needed to get more beetles closer to the yellow bowls and buckets we deploy. It takes a little bit more effort this way but it's the best option for us. As a bonus it is very low cost compared to the alternatives. These lures are effective for 8-10 weeks in our personal experience in USDA zone 7, maybe more if kept out of the sun. Happy Gardening!
