Product Description
PredaLure attracts ladybugs, lacewings and many other beneficial insects that prey on pests in your garden!
PredaLure was developed to help home gardeners and professional growers manage a number of destructive insect pests. PredaLure specifically attracts beneficial predatory insects such as lacewings, lady beetles, flower (hover) flies and many other beneficial insects to the area. Many university and commercial tests have shown that the use of PredaLure will reduce a variety of insect pests. The strong attractant signals beneficial insects that insect prey is available, causing them to find the food source.
The attractant in PredaLure is encapsulated in a controlled release packet. The proprietary membrane releases the attractant over a 4 week period.
Some of the beneficial insects attracted by PredaLure:
Ladybugs: Aggressive predator of aphids, mites, scale crawlers, and caterpillar and beetle eggs and larvae, particularly Colorado potato beetles.
Lacewings: The larvae of lacewings are generalist predators and attack almost any soft-bodied insect such as aphids, mites, mealybugs, thrips, scale crawlers, caterpillars, psyllids and eggs of all. Each larva can kill 30-50 aphids per day.
Flower or hover flies: Adult flies feed on pollen and nectar, whereas larvae feed on all soft-bodied insects. Larvae can consume 200-800 aphids in a 7-10 day period. They play an important role in suppressing populations of pest insects.
Others: Orius, Geocoris, Phytoseiulus, Stethorus, parasatoids.
Instructions: To use remove plastic pad lure from foil package. Do not cut plastic which is the controlled release membrane. Attach twist tie. In a garden or nursery setting hang dispenser at crop height equidistant from each other or in "hot spots" where pest population is high. General use rate in the garden is one per 400 sq.ft. or one per large tree, in the landscaped spaces every 40-50 feet.
Includes: 1 Predalure dispenser and 1 twist tie, sealed in foil for long shelf life.

Looks promising
Does look to be promising in the garden. We need to do all we can as organic growers to keep our insects and pollenators as healthy as possible! That means no pesticides which is why I bought this Predalure product. Hoping to consistently bring beneficial insects to my garden and fortify natural defenses.

Seems to work
Hard to tell exactly but it seems like there are more beneficial bugs in out garden after having these out for a few days. Is there a bigger package for next time or next year?
