Product Description
Attracts & Traps Squash Vine Borers!
The mature Squash Vine Borer is a stout dark gray moth with 'hairy' red hind legs, opaque front wings, and clear hind wings with dark veins. Unlike most moths, they fly about the plants during the daytime, appearing more like a paper wasp than a moth.
This insect overwinters as a full grown larva or a pupa one to two inches below the soil surface. If it has not already done so, the larva pupates in the spring. Adult moths begin to emerge about the time the plants begin to run, and moth flight continues through mid August. The small brown eggs, laid individually on leaf stalks and vines, hatch in seven to 10 days. The newly hatched larva immediately bores into the stem. A larva feeds for 14 to 30 days before exiting the stem to pupate in the soil. There are 1 to 2 generations per year.
VivaGrow Squash Vine Borer traps include a pheromone to naturally lure mature moths to a sticky surface where they cannot escape, keeping them from being able to produce larvae which feed on and damage plants. 100% safe for pets, non toxic.

Otro producto que compre aquí, seré un pesado seguramente por poner mi opinión en todo lado, pero se tiene que hacer. Muchas gracias de verdad. Estas trampas son un salvavidas

Hot Dang!
These are the real deal, folks. We tried some other brands such as Pest Wizard and these Vivatraps work better for much longer. The quality of the trap is also much better than the others we tried, some were very flimsy and wouldn't last in a breeze. Try 'em! You'll be glad you did.

Amazed at how fast this worked!
I put out 2 traps and 15 minutes later I had a moth stuck in one trap! Very impressed!

AMAZING TRAP
I was skeptical but I’m desperate. I lost all my squash last year to these menaces! Total waste of time!! I was not going to have a repeat! I also was not going to wrap each of my 50+ stalks with tinfoil or inject each one with BT!! I simply unfolded these sticky little boxes, inserted the bait and just waited! I was sure I would catch this little scary looking moth. At first I thought it was a red wasp. The thin black wings are confusing but they fool the birds too!! Anyway to my surprise my trap had caught 5 of those things in day 1. I quickly set up my second trap and caught 6 more over the next few days!! I’m ordering more in preparation for the second wave!!

It works great!
We hung 1 trap next to zucchini per the instructions. After a week of rain and high humidity, as soon as weather cleared, checked it this morning (5/28, zone 8a) and there were 3 already trapped! Just ordered two more packs.

Wow!
Me ayudo mucho para proteger mis calabazas, había probado otras marcas pero ninguna había protegido tan bien como esta trampa. Dato: viene instrucciones en Español y eso se agradece siempre.

Better than others
Better than other traps on the market but none of them are perfect

2 Pack
Happy to say these work well. Just wish they sold the lures a la carte. We asked they said possibly later this year but they are working on it.

Moth catcher
Borer moths are aggressive and they are getting into states where they did not used to be found. These will catch the moths before they do too much damage if you time the deployment correctly for your location and plants.
